Program Description This flexible, multidisciplinary three-year degree involves a generalized study of a broad range of subjects, and allows you to tailor your studies to your interests and career plans. Explore how writing, across genres and media, helps us to understand each other and the world in which we live. Discover your ability to write creatively in workshops led by some of Canada’s most acclaimed writers. Hone your skills in thinking analytically about literature, media and film. Writing clearly and effectively is a skill which opens opportunities. Our writer-in-residence program, supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, supports Canadian writers and provides students with direct access to a professional writer. The writer-in-residence holds regular office hours for one-on-one consultations with students, visits classes, and gives public readings.
